Omez for stomach pain

Omez is used for short-term treatment of ulcers of the stomach or small intestines, Hyperacidity, Epigastric pain, Stomach upset, Gas, Indigestion, Gastric, Jalan, Badhazmi, Pet Dukhna, Bloating, Belching, Reflux and Gastritis problem.

Some medicines are not suitable for people with certain conditions, and sometimes a medicine may only be used if extra care is taken. For these reasons, before you start taking omeprazole it is important that your doctor or pharmacist knows:
  • If you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast-feeding.
  • If you have any of the following symptoms: difficulty swallowing, loss of blood, weight loss, or if you are being sick.
  • If you have any problems with the way your liver works.
  • If you have ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine.
  • If you are taking any other medicines. This includes any medicines you are taking which are available to buy without a prescription, such as herbal and complementary medicines.
It can also be used for treating heartburn or irritation of the esophagus caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Badhazmi is a term which describes pain and sometimes other symptoms which come from your upper gut (the stomach, oesophagus or duodenum).

Badhazmi includes a group of symptoms that come from a problem in upper gut. The gut (gastrointestinal tract) is the tube that starts at the mouth, and ends at the anus. The upper gut includes the oesophagus, stomach, and duodenum. 

Bloating is any abnormal general swelling, or increase in diameter of the abdominal area. As a symptom, the patient feels a full and tight abdomen, which may cause abdominal pain, and sometimes accompanied by increased stomach growling or more seriously, the total lack of it. The most common symptom associated with bloating is a sensation that the abdomen is full or distended. Rarely, bloating may be painful or cause shortness of breath.

Omez capsule is available in the market with the dosage of 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg capsules.
Omeprazole is available on prescription. You can also buy short courses of omeprazole at a pharmacy for the treatment of reflux symptoms (such as heartburn) in adults.

During pregnancy Omez should be taken only when clearly needed. Proton pump inhibitors are not considered safe for pregnant women. Omez should not be taken without prescription during pregnancy.

Omez should be taken only with the medical prescription.
Patients are advised to take omez in an empty stomach along with a glass of water, preferably in the morning. Omez 20mg dosage is prescribed For Acid reflux, duodenal ulcer, Erosion and Omez 40mg is recommended to use for the treatment of Gastric ulcers, Heartburn.

Effects related to acid inhibition: 
The physiological changes during long-term treatment gastric glandular cysts have been reported in increased frequency result.
These physiological changes result from pronounced inhibition of gastric acid secretion which results in increase of gastric counts of bacteria normally present in the gastro-intestinal tract. Treatment with OMEZ may lead to an increased risk of gastro-intestinal infections such as Salmonella and Campylobacter. 

In the presence of symptoms such as significant unintentional weight loss, recurrent vomiting, dysphagia, haematemesis, or melaena, and when gastric ulcer is suspected or present, malignancy should be excluded, as treatment with OMEZ may alleviate symptoms and delay diagnosis. 

Its side effects include diarrhoea Headache Abdominal pain Nausea Skin rash Dizziness Constipation Flatulence Back-pain Insomnia Most common side effects of Omez are headaches, insomnia, diarrhoea, nausea and abdominal pain.
